01 — Service overview
We understand the importance of maintaining a secure environment, particularly in properties affected by fire safety concerns or building regulations.
With a dedicated team of trained personnel, we provide round-the-clock waking watch to keep residents safe and buildings compliant while remedial work is carried out or a fire safety issue is resolved.
02 — Why it matters
A waking watch is put in place when a building's fire strategy no longer works as designed — cladding under remediation, a compartmentation defect, an alarm system that cannot be relied upon, or a stay-put policy that has had to be suspended.
In that situation the building's early warning is a person. Someone has to walk the floors continuously, identify a fire in its earliest stage and raise the alarm and evacuate before it spreads.
That is not a role that can be covered by periodic checks or a guard sitting at a desk. It requires continuous patrol, proper coverage of every floor and escape route, and personnel who know the building's evacuation plan well enough to run it at three in the morning.
03 — What we provide

Continuous patrol of every floor, stairwell and common area throughout the watch — not periodic checks with gaps in between, because a fire that starts in a gap is exactly the scenario the watch exists to prevent.

Personnel trained to identify the earliest signs of fire — smell, smoke, heat, sound — and to raise the alarm and begin evacuation without hesitation.

Running the building's evacuation plan properly: sweeping floors, accounting for residents, managing the assembly point and handing over to the fire service on arrival.

Most residential blocks have residents who cannot self-evacuate quickly — elderly residents, people with mobility limitations, families with young children. They need to be known about before the night it matters.

Checking the things that fail quietly — blocked escape routes, wedged fire doors, missing extinguishers, obstructed corridors — and reporting them so they get fixed.

A written record of every patrol, check and finding. For a managing agent or freeholder under scrutiny, the log is the evidence that the watch was actually maintained.
